How it works

What is Photofuse?

Photofuse is a brand new range of products based upon the revolutionary Photofuse Smart Film that allows anyone with a computer and desktop inkjet printer to make their own stretched canvas prints. Print out your picture onto the Photofuse Smart Film Sheet then "stick" it onto stretched canvas or textured board with fantastic looking results!

Photofuse has been specifically designed to enable anyone to add real texture and dimension to any digital image. Whether it is a holiday snap, a family portrait, a school project or an existing piece of artwork, it's extremely easy and cheap to put your photos onto canvas and other textured surfaces.

What is so good about Photofuse ?

The most unique feature of this process, is that once completed, your image looks like it was printed onto the canvas itself. This is important because you can now achieve the same results as the widely used giclee process at a fraction of the cost.

Giclee is name given to how canvas prints are made today (before photofuse). They use expensive printers to print onto the canvas material directly then use expensive machinery to stretch the canvas material over a woodern frame then the canvas is stapled to the woodern frame using a machine. This is a labour intensive process, in which there are frequent rejects, and therefore this process is expensive! This is why canvas printers such as jessops charge £40-£80! to put your photos onto stretched canvas. Iif you look at how much work goes into it, no wonder they charge so much.

But Photofuse is completely different because all you need to do is print your image onto our thin, self adhesive Smart Film and you simply "stick" it onto a stretched canvas which has already been stretched around a woodern frame and stapled.

Photofuse has eliminated the 2 major factors that have stopped everyone making or buying canvas prints. These are:

  • Photofuse is cheaper:

All you need is a PC (which most of you will have if you are reading this), and any A4 inkjet printer which start from £30 which will allow you to print 8"x10" and 5"x7" images.

You can purchase 8"x10" Smart Film as little as £2.99 a sheet and an 8"x10" Stretched Canvas for £2.99. Making the material cost of putting your own images onto canvas less than £6.

  • Photofusing takes less time:
If you have seen the video above (click here if you cannot see it), you will know that you can put your images onto canvas in less than 10 minutes or much less all because we've made it incredibly easy to do!

What do I need?

Why Photofuse?

  • Allows you to make great gifts.

Create your own canvas prints at home with just your inkjet printer. It makes a fantastic gift because you have made it yourself. If you're new to Photofuse, we recommend you work through the Starter Pack first.

  • Get Real Texture!

Textured Panel Girl Photofuse

Using a texture brush (provided in our starter pack) simply brush the printed image into the canvas or textured panel to let all the texture show through.

Using the latest in Smart Film technology, Photofuse Smart Film takes up the texture of the surface it is being applied to. This gives the effect that the surface has been printed onto directly.

  • Hours of fun to do with the kids.

Photofuse Smart Film uses self adhesive technology which is completely child safe, and is so easy to do.

Once you have Photofused your image you can personalise it with paints, varnishes and accents to create a true masterpiece.
